ARTICLE 30 CHANGES
Midstate REMSCO, REMAC and EMS Providers
Governor Cuomo’s proposed budget includes changes to Article 30. These changes will not affect how we operate EMS on a daily basis, The changes are largely the work of the Spending and Government Efficiency (SAGE) Commission appointed by the Governor soon after he took office to make state government more accountable and efficient by reducing commissions, authorities and agencies by 20%.
A New York State EMS Coalition (including representation from FASNY, NYS Fire Chiefs Association, United New York Ambulance Network and New York State Volunteer Ambulance and Rescue Association have collected comments and concerns and has created a statement of concern and support it will present to the Governors staff and NY Legislators in the very near future.
We will share information as it is made available to us. Until we are advised otherwise it is business as usual at Midstate EMS.
