{"id":5945,"date":"2021-06-20T16:45:35","date_gmt":"2021-06-20T21:45:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/midstateems.dreamhosters.com\/blog\/?p=5945"},"modified":"2021-06-20T16:45:35","modified_gmt":"2021-06-20T21:45:35","slug":"midstate-june-newsletter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/midstateems.dreamhosters.com\/blog\/2021\/06\/20\/midstate-june-newsletter\/","title":{"rendered":"Midstate June Newsletter"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-file\"><a href=\"https:\/\/midstateems.dreamhosters.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/June-2021-Newletter.docx\">June-2021-Newletter<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/midstateems.dreamhosters.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/June-2021-Newletter.docx\" class=\"wp-block-file__button\" download>Download<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>As COVID cases decline<strong>, many COVID rules remain in place<\/strong>, especially pertaining to the hospitals.&nbsp;&nbsp;Please remember the following:<ul><li>All prehospital providers and&nbsp;adult patients must be masked upon entry to the hospital&nbsp;(no matter what your vaccination status is.)<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>All nebulized meds must be discontinued prior to entry to the ED<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>If you have any questions or concerns about either of these issues, speak to med control prior to arrival on the topic, not after you enter the ED.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>The June Semester for ALS CMEs comes to an end on 6\/31\/2021.<\/strong>\u00c2\u00a0Please remember that there are no extensions or reductions to this year\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s CMEs.\u00c2\u00a0<ul><li>Total Yearly Hours:<ul><li>EMT: 10\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0  (5 due by 6\/31\/21)<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Critical Care: 20\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0(10 due by 6\/31\/2021)\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a050% can be BLS<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Paramedic: 24\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0(12 due by 6\/31\/2021)<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>If you are an agency who is still using paper PCR\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s and wants to utilize, or continue to utilize, the&nbsp;<strong>CME Recertification Program<\/strong>&nbsp;after 1\/1\/2022, you only have until the end of the year to&nbsp;<strong>start documenting electronically<\/strong>.&nbsp;&nbsp;ALL BLSFRs, ALSFRs and transporting ambulances must document using an ePCR platform prior to 1\/1\/2022 to use the CME Recertification Program. The DOH currently has a FREE ePCR platform available form interested agencies.
