This course is designed to provide individuals in the EMS, law enforcement, code enforcement, and fire communities the skills to recognize a clandestine drug lab, with a special focus on Methamphetamine production.

The hazards posed by chemicals, booby traps, and meth “cooks” will be examined and responders will be provided the tools to avoid the dangers presented by these operations. An overview of evidence considerations will be discussed, to assist the responders in preserving the scene for investigators.

The course will be presented by NYS Office of Fire Prevention and Control and NYS Police CCSERT. Upon completion, you will be issued an OFPC Certificate. The class will be held on April 12, 2011, at the Maynard Fire Department, 9500 Maynard Dr., Marcy, NY, beginning at 6:30 PM.
