The 2019, retrospective Quality Improvement Study is underway. Every Midstate agency, transporting and non-transporting, has been asked to participate. Please return the data sheet to the Midstate Offices no later than December 15th via email, fax, mail or personal drop-off. A copy of the study was mailed to each agency as well as added as link above (click on “REMAC/REMSCO” and it’s the first one listed on the dropdown,) or click on the link below:

Thank you Vineall Ambulance for being MidState’s first agency to join the NYS PECC program! A Pediatric Emergency Care Coordinator (PECC) is an individual/individuals who are responsible for coordinating pediatric-specific activities/trainings to improve how we handle and transport our youngest patients. The PECC may be a member of your agency, or work at a county or region level and serve more than one agency. We encouraged every agency who had representation at the Stakeholders Meetings last week either individually or as groups of agencies, to participate in the PECC Program.

Utica Fire Department is hosting an informative lecture on Pacemakers. The lecture will be held on Monday, November 18th at 1900hrs at the UFD Oneida Square Station. This lecture is open to all levels of EMS providers and is eligible for non-core CME hours. This lecture can be signed up for on the www.Midstateems.org website under “Class Listing & Registration/CME Non Core Content Hours”.

Our special patient series “Situational Awareness” scheduled for Wednesday Nov 6 has been cancelled. We will re-schedule this program as soon as our presenter is available.
