Pediatric Emergency Care Coordinator
Pediatric emergencies tend to be one of the most infrequent types of calls we do as EMS providers. Because of the infrequency, they are also some of the most stressful calls as well. NYS wants to improve our preparedness as pre-hospital providers for pediatric emergency calls. NYS is looking for each agency (or agencies to work together) to encourage and promote pediatric continuing education through scenario based trainings, hands-on skills evaluations and other training events.
In order to keep up to date on the possibilities out there, NYS is looking for each agency (or group of agencies) to name a Pediatric Emergency Care Coordinator (PECC.)
