On Saturday, March 2rd, during the hours of 8am and 1pm, the St. Luke’s Campus will only be accessible when approached from Yorkville on Champlin Ave. The entrance across from the Utica College entrance on Champlin Ave, will be the only access for ambulances transporting to and from St. Luke’s.
Tonight’s EMT class, Febrary 25, at teh EMS training center (Chad Smith, Instructor) has been cancelled.
Certified EMT and Advanced EMT Providers interested in working with our Education staff as a Practical Skills Exam evaluator. We have scheduled a Evaluator Program. This two hour (CME non core) training will provide you with the skills and knowledge to evaluate EMS candidates at the conclusion of thier training.

Pediatric emergencies tend to be one of the most infrequent types of calls we do as EMS providers. Because of the infrequency, they are also some of the most stressful calls as well. NYS wants to improve our preparedness as pre-hospital providers for pediatric emergency calls. NYS is looking for each agency (or agencies to work together) to encourage and promote pediatric continuing education through scenario based trainings, hands-on skills evaluations and other training events.
In order to keep up to date on the possibilities out there, NYS is looking for each agency (or group of agencies) to name a Pediatric Emergency Care Coordinator (PECC.) If your agency (or group of agencies who decided to work together) has a person who is interested in becoming a PECC please visit the website below for more information!

Original American Heart Association Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) class Saturday Feb 23, 9AM.  Class will be conducted at EMS Training Center 14 Foery Drive. Through a grant program we are able to provide this training for $10. Pre-Registration is required on-line or call the EMS Program at 315 738 8351.
