EMS Fire Drug Awareness Program

The Mohawk Valley Police Academy will be hosting a first responder awareness training centered on officer safety for fentanyl, methamphetamine, marijuana butane extraction and synthetic drugs.

The training will cover manufacturing methods for all drugs, threats to first responding officers and what to be aware of in their surroundings to be able to identify these threats.

Thursday, January 19 from 2-6 pm will be the only class for Fire/EMS personnel and will be limited to that audience.

This training is being conducted by the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office, New York State Police and the Drug Enforcement Administration.

Each block of instruction will be limited to 40 people.
