The use of the LifeVest product is growing with patients in our community.
We will be called to patients wearing this device for a verity of conditions.
A 12 lead can be obtained with the vest attached.
If necessary you can remove the LifeVest but be prepared to defibrillate.
The LifeVest will not shock without adequate warning (per the literature)

Our Midstate REMAC recently mailed all agencies our Quality Assurance Project for 2015. These need to be completed using May EMS charts. ALL Midstate Agencies are expected to participate in this study. Questions should be directed to Dan or Vinny at the EMS office 738-8351

Our REMAC is in the process of reviewing “new†ALS protocols. These protocols are also under review in several regions and have been adopted in several other regions. A very important requirement in this process is a review and comment period for our providers. A link at the top of the page will take you to the draft protocol. Boilermaker Medical Volunteer orientation meetings will be conducted on Wednesday July 6, 2016 at 14 Foery Drive Utica. These brief (20-30 minute) meetings will review the Boilermaker Medical Plan, issue credentials and distribute volunteer shirts. Meetings will be conducted at 10AM 1 PM and 630 PM.
The Midstate REMSCO/REMAC and Program Agency will sponsor a Stakeholder meeting Tuesday June 7, at 7PM. The meeting will be held at the Sogg’s Room at the St. Luke’s Nursing Home. Each Midstate EMS Agency is encouraged to have representation at this meeting.
The agenda includes Operational, Education, Certification, Protocol updates, State EMS updates and Quality Assurance topics.
