Mohawk Valley Health System has centralized all invasive Cardiac Services to the St. Elizabeth Campus. Effective August 1, 2015 the Faxton St. Luke’s Campus will no longer perform angioplasty and cardiac catherizations. Patients presenting with ST elevation MI’s need to be transported to a hospital capable of providing invasive cardiac services. The Midstate REMAC has issued the following REMAC Advisory

PURPOSE
To provide rapid access to a Cardiac Catherization Laboratory for Patients suspected of having a STEMI.
BACKGROUND
As of Aug. 1, 2015 the Mohawk Valley Health System has closed the Cardiac Catherization Laboratory at the St Luke’s Campus..
LIMITATIONS
Suspected Cardiac Patients presenting with a 12 lead EKG showing ST elevation of at least 1mm in two contiguous leads must be transported to a hospital with Cardiac Catherization capabilities.
EXPECTATIONS
A complete phone report along with a 12 lead EKG should be transmitted to the receiving hospital prior to arrival.
EXCEPTIONS
Pt in cardiac arrest
Pt with an unmanageable airway
Under Medical Control
Midstate Adult Protocols
Acute Coronary Syndrome
