Excellus Blue Cross Blue Shield on Thursady pledged $120,000 grant to the Mohawk Valley Heart Institute to purchase and distribute lifesaving cardiac care equipment for municipal and volunteer ambulance companies. The equipment will help speed up the diagnosis and treatments of individuals experiencing heart attack symptoms. You can now sign up for the Rapid Recert for the June 2014 testing for Critical Care or Paramedic levels only. The deadline for this testing will be March 17, 2014. You will need to send in or drop off DOH Form 4010 no later than March 17, 2014. If you plan on participating in the Rapid Recert will need to attend the 13 hour National Standard updates and have DOH form 5064 filled out by the teaching CIC and bring this with you to the PSE. The PSE will be on June 14, 2014 and the written exam will be on June 19, 2014.
