This class will open to anyone who deals with, or has contact with, children and is open to anyone in the community who deals with children:
Coaches, Babysitters, Fire, EMS, Law Enforcement, Camp Counselors, etc
This is an abbreviated version of the 4 hr certification course.
(It does NOT replace the 4 hour certification course mandated by certain agencies).
The lecture will discuss the role of the mandated reporter, who actually is a mandated reporter, and cover the reporting process from start to finish, including specifically how to complete the mandated reporter forms, make the call into the reporting line, and the process once the hotline receives the call.

We will be learning safety measures regarding swift water rescue as well as using the rehab center’s pool for demos that combine EMS training AND American Red Cross Lifeguard techniques for emergency pool extrication and lifesaving skills.
