Central Oneida County Ambulance has 35 classroom desks they are willing to donate.  The desks are in “decent” condition and are available to any EMS Agency that is interested.  These will need to be picked up soon, call COC at 853-2118 for more information

Faxton-St Luke’s will be hosting a 12 lead class April 21st 19:00 to 21:00 at the St Luke’s Home. Please be their guest at this informative learning experience. Hors D’ Oeuvres and beverages will be provided. This is a great opportunity to brush up on your 12 lead skills. All are welcome please RSVP to Resource at 624-4534.

Tickets are available for the Midstate  Annual EMS Awards Banquet being held May 21, 2010 at the Vernon Downs Casino and resort. Tickets may be purchased at Resource, the EMS office or by sending a check and SASE to Chris at 2521 Sunset Ave Utica NY 13502. The Mohawk Valley will host the New York State Special Olympics on June 4-6, 2010.  We need volunteer EMS providers, Nurses, and Physicians to assist with the medical coverage for this great event.

The Faxton St. Luke’s EMS Programs and Midstate REMSCO will co-host a Operators and Training Workshop on Tuesday April 13, 2010 7PM at the Sogg’s Room (St. Luke’s campus).  The session will provide updated operational information from both regional and state operations.  The second session will provide an update on the Continuing Medical Education recertification program (pilot program).  Information will be presented by both Faxton St. Luke’s Course Sponsorship and NYS DOH.  Agencies are encouraged to send one operations and one training and education representative.  No pre-registration in needed, coffee and light snacks will be provided.
