Save the date

Plan now to attend “EMS’s night at the races” this years Midstate Awards Banquett will be held May 21,2010 at the Vernon Downs Casino Resort. The night will be filled with awards,horse races,gaming, a live band, and teriffic food. Single or twin room will be at a special $79 rate for up to three nights. Watch for further information and remember it is time to start planning to send the award nominations for 2009 .

Flu Like Symptoms Tracking

Beginning today Resource will be asking all incoming ambulances if your patient has had Flu Like Symptoms within the  last three days. Flu like symptoms include fever, cough,general illness/malaise. We will be using this data to track trends of the flu. If you have any questions feel free to give Dan or myself a call. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Oneida County H1N1 Clinic CANCELLED

The Onedia Coutny Health Department announced today that the H1N1 clinic scheduled for this month has been cancelled due to lack of vaccine. The Department will reschedule this clinic at a later date.

Bloodborne Patogens/H1N1 Presentation

The New Hartford Fore Deparment will host Linda Kokoski RN,CIC. On Tuesday October 27 at 7PM at the New Hartford Fire Station, Linda will presenting on H1N1 Flu and OSHA Bloodborne Patogens. H1N1 Vaccination Clinics

The Oneida County Health Department announced the following H1N1 Clinics.
October 22, 11:00 – 1:00 MVCC Rome Campus, Plumley Complex A32
October 27, 3:00 – 6:00 Public Health Clinic 406 ELizabeth St. Utica
Oneida County First Responders are welcome at both clinics and both are free

Seasonal Flu Clinic CANCELLED

The Oneida County Health Department has cancelled the seasonal flu clinics scheduled for this week. The Department did not recieve all the vacine ordered and demand has been higher than anticipated. Stay tuned for rescheduled dates and locations.

Madison County Flu Clinic’s

The Reportable Incident Report (form DOH-4461) is now available at http://www.health.state.ny.us/nysdoh/ems/emsforms.htm it has been updated and and can now be completed electronically.
